Abstract

E-methodology was founded to explore how the Internet transforms scientific rese- arch – particularly within the social sciences, psychology, and health-related discipli- nes. Our early projects demonstrated both the promise and complexity of conducting studies online, and their outcomes inspired the launch of this journal.

Today, E-methodology continues as an annual, peer-reviewed platform devoted to the methodological, ethical, and practical dimensions of Internet-based research. We invite theoretical reflections and empirical studies that examine the Internet as a rese- arch environment or tool—especially in contexts relevant to health, well-being, and human behaviour.

The current volume reflects this mission by featuring papers that address digital learning, online data collection, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in edu- cation and medical research. Authors discuss both opportunities and risks – ranging from improved access to knowledge and patient engagement, to challenges of privacy, ethics, and data reliability.

Our goal remains to identify effective, responsible, and interdisciplinary appro- aches for conducting research through digital means. On behalf of the Editorial Board, I warmly invite readers and contributors to engage with this issue and to continue advancing the field of e-methodology at the intersection of technology, society, and health.
